Harishree was formed by a small group of well minded people in Kalyan, Maharashtra. It began with the goal of helping the poor and orphaned children who have nobody to help them. It all started when volunteers of Harishree initially started visiting orphanages. They were shocked by the living conditions of the children, especially the poor children on the streets and in orphanages. This experience made a profound and lasting impact on realizing social responsibility. Harishree determined to do something in order to ensure that the children have decent lives that they deserve. The group come together under Harishree and began dreaming together of establishing a charitable organization. Harishree would care for orphans and poor to educate them and thus help them have to a bright future.
How wonderful it is to realize that with a little help and a few sacrifices, we can make a huge difference and positive impact in the life of someone. We have a dedicated and generous team who meet every week to review and discuss the progress of the project and make decisions. Harishree hope and pray that more and more people may come forward to become part of this noble cause and together we can make a difference in the world.
Since 2007 Harishree has worked in some of the most destitute and deprived areas to provide basic human rights like food, medical care and education to the poorest, which are the fundamental rights of every human being. With the continued support of our generous and dedicated donors and supporters Harishree have managed to widen its activities.
